Change (spoof) your MAC Address

Hiding your IP and MAC Address can be a great way to stay anonymous on someone's wifi connection. There can be many reasons to do this like; downloading games and movies at work or just staying anonymous for other users on the same network connection. Let's jump into it!

This tutorial is based on Windows Vista / 7 or higher.

Go check out your MAC Address before starting; Open CMD and type in ipconfig /all . Your Physical Address (at Ethernet Adapter for wired / Wireless LAN Adapter for wireless) should show your current physical address.

1. Go to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center.

2. Click on Change adapter settings in the left pane.

3. Right click on your current network adapter (etc. Ethernet) and select properties.

4. Go to the Advanced tab and select Locally Administered Address.

5. Make sure the value radio button is selected.

6. You will have to enter a 6 pair combination of letters or/and words like this: 3A-2E-FB-4C-55-B3. Make sure you do not enter the dashes

7. Go Check your physical address again and see if it worked!

Enjoy!
